Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah yang efektif merupakan tantangan besar di Indonesia, namun memiliki potensi besar sebagai sumber energi listrik terbarukan melalui teknologi Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran komunikasi pembangunan dalam mendukung implementasi teknologi RDF sebagai solusi inovatif dalam pengelolaan sampah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi  literatur, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi komunikasi yang dapat meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dan pemangku kepentingan, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan komunikasi yang dihadapi dalam prosesnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi pembangunan yang partisipatif dan kolaboratif sangat penting untuk memperkuat kerja sama antar aktor dan mendukung keberlanjutan pengelolaan sampah berbasis RDF. Studi ini juga memberikan rekomendasi model komunikasi yang efektif untuk mempercepat pemanfaatan sampah sebagai sumber energi terbarukan di tingkat lokal.
