The Korean television show phenomenon engages viewers worldwide, transcending cultural boundaries with its gripping narrative of intellectual competition among South Korea's elite universities. Through psychological theories such as Bandura's social learning theory and Deci and Ryan's self-determination theory, the show underscores the significance of academic excellence and the intrinsic motivation driving contestants. Moreover, "University War" promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for STEM fields, reflecting broader societal attitudes toward education and career aspirations. As educators explore ways to sustain interest in STEM among K-Pop wave culture enthusiasts through initiatives inspired by the series, University War stands as a compelling case study highlighting the transformative potential of popular media in shaping educational outcomes and societal perceptions in the digital age.
2024-03-15T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Psikologi https://journal.pubmedia.id/index.php/pjp/article/view/2008 Pengaruh Self efficacy Terhadap Kemampuan Problem Solving Mahasiswa Akhir Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember dalam Mengerjakan Tugas Akhir 2024-04-26T10:58:01+07:00 Ina Wardanis [email protected] Iin Ervina [email protected] Ria Wiyatfi Linsiya [email protected]
Problem solving is a search for a solution carried out by individuals using various methods to solve the problems being faced. Meanwhile, self-efficacy is an individual's self-confidence related to one's ability to complete the tasks or problems being faced by the individual. This type of research is quantitative. The respondents in this research were final students who were working on their thesis at the Faculty of Psychology, UM Jember. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence between the self-efficacy variables and problemsolving abilities where the sig. 2-tailed 0.000 < 0.05 means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a significant influence between self-efficacy and problemsolving abilities. The variable contribution of 0.935 as seen from R square can be interpreted to mean that self efficacy has a contribution effect of 93.5% on variable Y and the other 6.5% can be influenced by other factors outside of variable habits, sense of security, economy, uncertainty, and perception (Rinawati, 2011).
2023-11-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Psikologi https://journal.pubmedia.id/index.php/pjp/article/view/2006 Kesiapan Dosen dalam Menghadapi Perubahan 2024-04-26T10:58:08+07:00 Muhammad Faishal Nashiruddin [email protected] Siti Nur’Aini [email protected] Danan Satriyo Wibowo [email protected]
Lecturers in facing new challenges in carrying out the tridharma of higher education continue to increase along with developments over time. The data analysis methods used in this research are validity test, reliability test, linearity test, and regression analysis test. The scale used in this research is the result of modifications using the Street Harassment Scale and the Self Esteem Scale. The results of this research show that the calculated F value is 0.163 > 0.0028 and the significance value is 0.686 > 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is no significant influence between the catcalling variable and the self-esteem variable. For an R Square value of 0.000. This means that the catcalling variable has an influence of 0% on the self-esteem variable or it could be said that the catcalling variable has no influence on the self-esteem variable. Good emotional intelligence can help teenagers manage their emotions appropriately so they can adapt to their environment. Family is one of the factors that influences emotional intelligence, because the relationship between parents and teenagers will have an impact on teenagers' emotional intelligence. The aim of this research is to determine the differences in emotional intelligence of students whose parents are divorced and who are not divorced (intact) at SMA PGRI Purwoharjo. This research is acomparative quantitative research on 38 students whose parents were divorced and 38 students whose parents were not divorced (intact) at SMA PGRI Purwoharjo, which was obtained using quota sampling techniques. This research uses an emotional intelligence scale (30 items, α = 0.866) adapted from research by Wardani (2019). The results of this study show that there is no difference in emotional intelligence between students whose parents are divorced and not divorced (intact) at SMA PGRI Purwoharjo (r = 0.759, p > 0.05).
