Jurnal Pengabdian Indonesia The editorial board is aware that plagiarism cannot be counted and therefore is the only part required for publication in the Jurnal Pengabdian Indonesia. Definition: Plagiarism involves “the use or imitation of another author's language and thoughts and the representation of them as one's own original work.” Policy: Papers must be original, unpublished, and not awaiting publication elsewhere. Any material taken verbatim from another source needs to be clearly identified as distinct from the existing original text by means of (1) indindoentation, (2) use of quotation marks, and (3) identification of the source.
Any text exceeding fair use standards (here defined as more than two or three sentences or equivalent) or any graphic material reproduced from another source requires permission from the copyright holder and, where applicable, the original author and also requires source identification; for example, previous publications. When plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing this paper and will approve action according to the level of plagiarism detected in the paper according to the following guidelines:
Level of Plagiarism
1.Minor :
A short section of another article is plagiarized without any significant data or idea taken from the other paper
Action : A warning is given to the authors and a request to change the text and properly cite the original article is made
2.Intermediate: A significant portion of a paper is plagiarized without proper citation to the original paper
Action: The submitted article is rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles for one year
- Severe : A significant portion of a paper is plagiarized that involves reproducing original results or ideas presented in another publication
Action: The paper is rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles for five years.
It is understood that all authors are responsible for the contents of the papers they submit because they all sign the Jurnal pengabdian indonesia Copyright Transfer Form. If sanctions are imposed for plagiarism, all authors will be subject to the same penalties.
If a second case of plagiarism committed by the same author is identified, the decision regarding the action to be taken will be taken by the Editorial Board (Editor-in-Chief, and Editorial members) with the Chief Editor-in-Chief. . The author may be banned from submitting further articles forever.
This policy also applies to material reproduced from other publications by the same author. If an author uses previously published text or images, the relevant paragraph or image should be identified and the previous publication referenced. It is understood that in the case of review papers or papers of a tutorial nature, much of the material has been previously published.
Authors should identify the source of previously published material and obtain permission from the original author and publisher. If an author submits a manuscript to the Jurnal pengabdian indonesia with significant overlap with a manuscript submitted to another journal simultaneously, and this overlap is discovered during the review process or after publication of both papers, the editor of the other journal will be notified. and this case is being treated as a serious case of plagiarism. Significant overlap means the use of identical or nearly identical images and identical or slightly modified text for one half or more of the paper. For self-plagiarism that is less than half of the paper but more than one tenth of the paper, the case will be considered as medium plagiarism. If self-plagiarism is limited to the methods section, then the case is considered minor plagiarism.
If an author uses some previously published material to clarify the presentation of new results, the previously published material should be identified and differences with this publication should be noted. Permission to republish must be obtained from the copyright holder. In the case of a manuscript originally published in conference proceedings and then submitted for publication in the Jurnal pengabdian indonesia either in the same or expanded form, the author must state the name of the conference proceedings and the date of publication. and obtain permission to republish from the copyright holder. The editor may decide not to accept this paper for publication.
However, an author may use material from an unpublished presentation, including visual displays, in subsequent journal publications. In the case of a submitted publication originally published in another language, the title, date and journal of the original publication must be identified by the author, and copyright must be obtained. Editors may accept publication of the translation to attract the attention of a wider audience. Editors may select certain papers that have been published (for example “historic” papers) for republishing to provide a better perspective of a series of papers published in one issue of the Jurnal pengabdian indonesia. These republications must be clearly identified and the date and journal of original publication must be given, and permission from the author and publisher must be obtained.
Jurnal pengabdian indonesia: The layout editor of Jurnal devotion indonesia for the Journal is responsible for maintaining a list of authors subject to penalties and will check that no authors of submitted papers are on this list. If a prohibited author is identified, the layout editor will notify the Editor-in-Chief who will take appropriate action. This policy will be posted on the website with instructions for submitting manuscripts, and a copy will be sent to authors with a confirmation email upon initial receipt of their original manuscript. A sentence must be added to the copyright transfer form to indicate that the author has read the Plagiarism Policy
